It had to happen eventually. After a 19-game home unbeaten run stretching back to last march, D.C. United finally lost a home game on Saturday afternoon.

D.C. United Defeats Hurricane, Snowstorm and Awful Energy Drink En Route to Conference Finals
D.C. United’s decisive Eastern Conference semifinal match was finally played on Thursday evening, and it couldn’t have ended better, as the black and red handed the New York Red Bulls a 1-0 loss en route to the conference finals.
Despite a largely positive performance, United paid the price for their lack of experience Saturday evening and could only muster a draw against their over-caffeinated rivals.

D.C. United Brought Back Down to Earth in Houston
Playing a man down for the majority of the game, D.C. United was handed a humbling defeat at the hands of the Houston Dynamo yesterday.
Yesterday, D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid sent out a tweet simply stating, “Happiest day of my life.” Now we know why — the 20-year-old has been called up to the United States’ men’s national team by new manager Jurgen Klinsmann.
