In the wake of last week’s mass shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates is going several steps further and actually require some educators to carry guns.

Today the Virginia House of Delegates rejected Richmond prosecutor Tracy Thorne-Begland for a post as a General District Court judge because he is gay, supports same-sex marriage and once questioned the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

On Saturday Night Live this past weekend, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers riffed on the “fetal personhood” bill moving through the Virginia legislature. Last night, the bill’s sponsor responded. And he’s seen Baby Mama.
