After initial reports that an Occupy D.C. demonstrator threw a brick at a U.S. Park Police officer during Saturday’s crackdown on the protest movement’s camp at McPherson Square, court documents released Monday said it was in fact a bottle of Coca-Cola.
Last Friday, we reported on a pair of brick-throwing incidents which left two Columbia Heights bars — Meridian Pint and Room 11 — with broken windows. With the investigation still ongoing, DCist has obtained security camera footage from outside Meridian which shows the vandal tossing a brick through the bar’s front window, as well as more details on the crime.
This is why we can’t have nice things: two large bricks were thrown through windows at both Room 11 and Meridian Pint around 2:30 a.m. this morning.

Eastern Market Street Brick Design Options Updated
