After months of delays in enforcement, drivers in D.C. will be fined $100 for illegally driving, parking, standing, or stopping in bus lanes.

After six years of study, DDOT is recommending a bus lane to improve service along the congested corridor.

The transit agency unveiled one of 21 new articulated buses—the longer, accordion-style vehicles—on this cloudy afternoon.

But it wouldn’t happen for at least two years—if it does.
