Family Of Man Who Died After Collapsing Near Fire Station Is Suing the City For $7.7 Million
Cecil Mills had a heart attack across the street from a firehouse, but didn’t receive medical care until 20 minutes after the first 911 call was placed.
The report concludes that five unnamed firefighters and four unnamed Office of Unified Communications employees involved should be disciplined, but does not specify how.
A candlelight vigil for Mills will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Brentwood Village Shopping Center, where he suffered a fatal heart attack.
Marie Mills says several people went to Engine 26 in Northeast D.C. seeking help for her father, 77-year-old Cecil Mills Jr., who was suffering a heart attack.
