A porch roof fell in Petworth, a church collapsed in Silver Spring, and more.
First responders are at the scene of the Watergate building, where two floors of a parking garage reportedly collapsed around 10 a.m. this morning.
It was on this day 91 years ago that the Knickerbocker Theatre in Adams Morgan collapsed under the weight of two days worth of snow, killing 98 people and injuring 133.

Awning on AU Campus Collapses
Image from auexaminer.com An awning that had recently been installed on the side of American University’s Mary Graydon Center has collapsed under the weight of so much snow, the AU Examiner is reporting. About half of the metal structure is down- the side closest to the bookstore remains standing. Public safety was on the scene but declined to comment.No reports of any injuries so far….

Workers Injured in Scaffolding Collapse

Street Collapses in Upper Northwest
View Larger Map The Associated Press is reporting that a section of the 4300 block of Ellicott Street NW, several blocks away from Fort Reno Park, has suddenly collapsed. Fire officials are investigating. An estimated 20-foot section of the road has caved in about 2 feet.
