The debate over what uniform color scheme D.C.’s multihued fleet of taxicabs should adopt is about to be settled.

Yesterday Mayor Vince Gray unveiled four proposed color schemes for D.C.’s 6,500 taxicabs, and today five more proposed designs have been posted for a public vote.

Mayor Vince Gray unveiled four proposed designs for a uniform color for D.C.’s 6,500 taxicabs. The designs will be on display through February, and residents and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite.

Come November, four possible color schemes for D.C.’s taxicabs will be put on display for the city’s residents to consider and comment on.

Via WTOP, WMATA says its redesigned Metrobuses will be deployed to their first line starting on Monday. The brand new silver and red buses will mostly service the U8 line, which runs from Capitol Heights to Southeast, but two of them are also destined for the recently expanded 5A line, running from L’Enfant Plaza to Dulles International Airport. WMATA just sent out images of their brand new Metrobuses. The new red and silver color scheme looks pretty sweet.
