Senate Democrats Remove Spending Bill Provision That Blocked D.C. From Legalizing Marijuana Sales
The House has already removed what was long known as the Harris Rider from the federal budget, and the Senate’s move puts D.C. closer to being able to legalize marijuana sales.
The hearing comes as Congress takes steps toward lifting a six-year-old measure that prohibited D.C. from legalizing marijuana sales.
