HBCU Con was created by Chauna Lawson to celebrate the crossover between Black geeks and the HBCU experience.

D.C.’s nerd convention has been postponed until December, but is offering a slate of free events this weekend.

At Studio Cosplay, aspiring costumers have access to sewing and embroidery machines, a ventilated room for painting and sanding, a changing room, photo booth, and even a wig styling station.

Cosplayers assembled by the thousands to create a vibrant visual spectacle at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.
