A technical mishap took D.C.’s sole official sports-betting app offline for many users during the Super Bowl, costing the city money and sparking widespread criticism.
Past estimates said D.C. could take in $20 million a year from its GambetDC sports-betting app. New estimates revealed this week cut the estimate to $1.5 million.

Judge Rejects Graham’s Case Against Ethics Board
A D.C. Superior Court judge dismissed Councilmember Jim Graham’s (D-Ward 1) request for an injunction and restraining order against the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability.
Councilmember Jim Graham (D-Ward 1) “adversely harmed the public confidence” in the D.C. Council with his reported roles in the awarding of D.C. Lottery and Metro contracts, Chairman Phil Mendelson told reporters today.
The D.C. Council chairman says that the Council next week will vote on whether to formally reprimand Jim Graham (D-Ward 1) for his role in a 2008 deal to find a new contractor for the D.C. Lottery.
