It was the other ‘Skins rookie, Alfred Morris, that helped lead the team over the Dallas Cowboys yesterday and on its way to the first division title since 1999.

The ‘Skins Are America’s New ‘America’s Team’
While FedEx Field can only handle 85,000 fans, assume nearly the rest of the nation will be there in burgundy-and-gold spirit on Sunday night when the ‘Skins play the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title.
With the NFC East division championship at stake, the NFL is moving the ‘Skins regular season finale against the Dallas Cowboys to the Sunday night slot. And Metro will stay open late for the occasion.

‘Skins Gobble Cowboys 38-31
By the end of the fourth quarter, stomachs and the scoreboard were equally bloated, with the ‘Skins standing on top of the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

Sunday National Treasure Photo: January 17, 2010
On this grim, gray Sunday, Washingtonians have a couple of options. They can stay in and root for their NFC East brethren, the Dallas Cowboys, as they face off against the dread Minnesota Vikings. Barring that — and I understand some Redskins are unable to acknowledge NFC East solidarity — the National Mall offers a number of warm, dry, and brightly lit rooms for appreciating other national treasures. K’s Clicks features an inviting image…
After braving the bone-chilling wind and cold, ridiculously long lines for the bathroom and obnoxious Cowboys fans for five plus hours, Redskins fans could only hope to be rewarded with a big win against their hated rival. Instead, fans left blustery FedEx Field using their complimentary “Rally Rags” (the pathetically transparent response to the Terrible Towel invasion of two weeks ago) to wipe away tears of frustration. The game started deceivingly well for both the…

‘Skins Week 11 Preview: v. Dallas
The NFC East rivals are coming off bye weeks and embarrassing losses – the 6-3 Redskins were pummeled 23-6 by the Steelers and the 5-4 Cowboys lost 35-14 to the Giants before the bye. Who Gets the Post-Bye Bump? The Redskins had an uncharacteristic offensive showing in their last game. Jason Campbell threw his first two interceptions of the year and was sacked seven times, while Clinton Portis rushed for only 51 yards ….

Zorn’s First: Skins Win Coach’s Debut in Big D
Going into Sunday’s game at Dallas, there seemed to be two opposing forces pulling at ‘Skins fans. Common wisdom, most pundits, and the Vegas oddsmakers said Washington would return to D.C. humbled by an offensive juggernaut just getting warmed up. But if you looked hard enough, there were calls for optimism: fantasy experts talked up Jason Campbell’s surging value, while others talked about the ‘Skins’s recent success against their hated rivals. And in press conferences…

‘Skins Week Four Preview: @ Dallas Cowboys
Please welcome our newest DCist contributor, Elisabeth Meinecke. Steaks won’t be the only thing sizzling this Sunday in Texas. The Patient: The Skins’ defense is warming up (just ask Kurt Warner, who was sacked twice and hurried seven times by the Skins last Sunday), Jason Campbell is hot (this week’s quarterback rating came in at 112.2, topping his Week 2 rating of 104.1), and the team is on fire after a pair of nail-biting wins…
Well ain’t this a kick in the pants? The Washington Redskins, faced with having to take the same long cut to the playoffs that they did the last time they found themselves all but eliminated and facing a slew of teams suddenly willing to play dead, took their act on the road to Minnesota and won 32-1421, in a game that was only briefly tense and was basically decided by an alert eye on the…
