For some residents, living in a pandemic showed them life is too short for senseless swiping.

DCist spoke with singles in the D.C. area about how their return to in-person dating is going and what they’re looking for in a relationship.

Some singles are using their newly inoculated status to set themselves apart from the crowd and let others know they’re being safe.

“The fall has never been the busiest season as a matchmaker in terms of people hiring me. But right now it is,” says a local matchmaker.
