Here are some of the exhibits, museums, and “immersive” experiences we’re keeping an eye on this year.

When the much-anticipated museum opens on Oct. 29, it will offer two dozen galleries, and a Marvin Gaye-inspired opening exhibit, all free to D.C. residents.

The National Gallery of Art will close its East Building from Feb. 28 to June to speed up the replacement of its atrium skylight.

The exhibit will no longer anchor the development’s second phase reopening.

People can submit their recipes and food stories to “Reclamation,” an online exhibit opening at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in January.

People aged two and older must wear face masks, and hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building.
