With federal budget sequestration in effect for a week now, the furlough notices are starting to flow in, and many of the affected government workers are starting to learn how much unpaid leave they will be forced to take.

The White House last night released state-by-state impact reports on the potential effects of sequestration, with education, workforce development, and public health all taking hits.
