D.C. Nurses Union Says New Hospital Deal ‘Resoundingly Fails’ To Meet Ward 8 Health Care Needs
The DCNA says the new hospital won’t have enough beds, nor will it be equipped to deal with the high number of trauma patients in this part of the city.
GW Hospital is still expected to partner with the city on a brand new full-service hospital in Ward 8.

“This sends a really powerful message that there is a commitment to opening up a full healthcare system in Wards 7 and 8,” says Councilmember Vincent Gray.
At Tuesday’s legislative meeting, Gray will introduce two measures he hopes will keep GW Hospital from pulling out of the deal.
