Best Dishes of 2008

It’s been a delicious year in D.C. The city has seen a number of interesting new restaurants and eatieries, including spots like CommonWealth, Art and Soul, Cork Wine Bar, Adour, and Ray’s Hell-Burger. Running with Liquid Nitrogen

Last night, DCist was invited to participate in one of EatBar’s cocktail classes, taught by Gina Chersevani. The theme for the evening was “Witches’ Brew, Contorted Concoctions,” which took imbibers on a tour of some molecular mixology techniques. Some elements were basic, while others required some special equipment and chemicals. The class also included some small nibbles to match the cocktails. Chef Nathan Anda Leaves Tallula and EatBar

On Friday, news broke that Chef Nathan Anda of Arlington’s Tallula and popular neighboring bar/lounge EatBar will be departing. Anda received much acclaim while at Tallula/EatBar and was nominated for a 2008 RAMMY Award in the category of Rising Culinary Star of the Year.
