Council Makes Ankle Bracelet Tampering a Crime

The Examiner reports today on recent D.C. Council emergency legislation that makes tampering with electronic monitoring ankle bracelets a crime. Under the temporary measure, anyone convicted of interfering with such a device would face six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
