The proposed loop tunnel between D.C. and Baltimore would make traveling between the two cities fast and convenient, but an environmental assessment says initial ridership would be limited to 1,000 people per direction per day.

While Elon Musk’s Hyperloop project has hype on its side, The Northeast Maglev and Amtrak have their own plans to bring high-speed rail from D.C. to the Northeast.

Elon Musk is trying to build a high-speed transportation system between D.C. and New York.

He says his transportation system will go from New York to D.C. in 29 minutes.

The car hasn’t been unveiled yet and won’t go into production until the end of next year, but that didn’t seem to dent the enthusiasm in D.C. and Bethesda.
