Seven Men Charged With Killings in Columbia Heights, U St.

Last September, 21-year-old Jamal Coates was killed during a brazen daylight drive-by shooting on U Street NW. This week, reports Homicide Watch, seven men have been charged for gang violence and retaliations that led to seven deaths since 2006 in Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan and U Street — including Coates’.

New Traffic Pattern for Adams Morgan Harris Teeter

Adams Morgan residents on the streets surrounding the new Harris Teeter received official notice at the end of last week that the District Department of Transportation is changing the flow of traffic to accommodate the anticipated increase in cars on the surrounding residential streets.
