Councilmember Anita Bonds (D-At Large) introduced legislation that would exempt some seniors who have lived in the District for at least a quarter-century from paying property taxes.

The exemption from regulation that the sedan-by-smartphone company currently enjoys in D.C. is set to run out in December. But a bill proposed yesterday by Councilmember Jack Evans (D-Ward 2), would grant that free pass for good.
