A Fig & Olive representative confirmed that a restaurant employee was punched in the nose Friday night.

The company’s president bizarrely apologizes for “to our guests for being subjected to any misrepresentation by the media” in an interview with The Washington Post.

Nearly 200 dish components—soups, sauces, purees, dressings, desserts, breads, ratatouille, ravioli, crab cakes, pre-cooked chicken tagine and pre-cooked paella—were made in a commissary in Long Island, New York before being shipped off to different locations.

The restaurant is still closed as they continue testing.

The general manager told Post that the the restaurant was doing a thorough search for possible sources, and a Department of Health inspection revealed “no issues.”
