Florida Ave. Won’t Reopen Until Saturday Evening

Photo by Shaun Barrows The word on high from DDOT after Wednesday’s massive water main break in the 1700 block of Florida Ave. is that the street won’t reopen until Saturday evening, weather permitting. DDOT engineers spent today assessing the damage and came up with this time estimate. Officials are warning drivers that roads around the 2400 block of 16th St, NW are partially closed while crews repair yesterday’s water main break.
