Seeing and hearing jets fly over the District is nothing new for Washington residents. That said, you’d be excused from checking out the headline on this AP item — “Military training flights soaring over region” — and simply moving along. But then you’d miss this little nugget of information!
Going to the airport has always kind of sucked, hasn’t it? Long lines, terrible food, expensive parking, people running all over the place like headless chickens with rolling luggage — don’t even get me started on what it’s like if your flight gets delayed or you’re running late. That said, I can only imagine how messy things might be after all the recent hubbub about the Transportation Security Administration’s new screening policies.

Here’s To Exacerbating A Casual Fear of Flying
The Post’s Martin Weil reported late last night that a Brussels-bound United Airlines flight had to return to Dulles after one of its tires blew during takeoff.
