Local Go-Go and punk groups will be performing on the rooftop garden of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library through August.

Close, who lost her eighth Oscar nomination last night, shocked 2021 bingo cards across the region with her knowledge of D.C. go-go.

“[Jemal] wants to see the go-go museum be successful, Check It be successful, and the community to enjoy the garden forever,” said Ron Moten, co-owner of Anacostia’s Check It Enterprises.
