Woman Accused of Vandalizing National Cathedral With Green Paint Admitted to Psychiatric Ward
Her attorney Nancy Glass said Tian’s doctors became concerned about her mental health yesterday and she was admitted to the psychiatric ward at Washington Hospital Center.
The Gold Leaf Studios team returned two chapels at the Cathedral “to their original splendor in record time,” according to a statement.
An MPD detective who testified said a footprint left by green paint at the Lincoln Memorial matched the tread of a shoe Tian was wearing when she was arrested.
The National Park Service says its crews are nearly finished scrubbing off the green paint from the Lincoln Memorial left last Friday by a vandal, but it’ll take a bit more time before the great monument is all cleaned up.
At least four locations in D.C. have been splattered with green paint, and in some cases feces, in recent days.
