The former chief of staff to former D.C. Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. pleaded guilty today in federal court to charges that she falsified tax documents in connection with a 2009 inaugural ball.

Prosecutors Want FRC Shooter to Serve 45 Years
The man who shot a security guard in the lobby of the D.C. office of the Family Research Council last August could serve 45 years in prison.
Family Research Council shooter Floyd Lee Corkins III today pleaded guilty to three charges related to the August 2012 incident.
Crapo was sentenced to a suspended jail sentence of 180 days along with one year of unsupervised probation. He was also ordered to pay a $250 fine.
