Video: Man Hurdles Third Rail To Help Person Who Fell On Metro Tracks

Dimas Pinzon was called a hero this summer after he lept onto the tracks (note: not recommended) in order to save a man who had slipped off the platform at the Virginia Square-GMU Metrorail station as a train was oncoming. ARLnow.com managed to obtain the surveillance video of what happened — and its a wild piece of footage.

Houston Transit Worker Helps Fallen Woman on Metro Tracks

Tom Colicchio Saves Joan Nathan’s Life in D.C.

Ezra Klein reports, via the Internet Food Association, that last night, Tom Colicchio (he of Top Chef and craftsteak) swooped to the rescue of cookbook author Joan Nathan, performing the Heimlich Maneuver at a much-needed moment.
