Report Shows Staff Missed Multiple Opportunities To Prevent Murder Of Patient At St. Elizabeths Hospital
Disability Rights DC says staff members should have been able to prevent a patient’s murder in March.
The hospital, which is slated to open in December of 2024, is D.C.’s second public project to be named after Frederick Douglass.
The District’s Department of Transportation is now looking to create a dedicated pick-up and drop-off zone at Kaidyn Green’s school.
The D.C. Council rejected a proposal that would have injected more funds into the struggling Ward 8 hospital without triggering additional oversight.
The $375-million deal will include the construction of a 136-bed hospital at St. Elizabeths East in Ward 8 with the ability to expand to 196 beds.
