Given the frigid temperature we’re at currently and a forecast for overnight lows in the teens (and even single digits in the north and west of D.C.), it’s a good time to remind you to keep an eye out for anyone trying to brave the cold and sleep outside tonight. Temperatures are expected to remain well below freezing again overnight, which can mean danger for the District’s homeless population. The city has put out a reminder to call their Hypothermia Shelter Hotline should you spot anyone trying to sleep outside when it’s this cold.
