Several county councilmembers voted to reopen dining rooms after acknowledging they personally don’t consider it safe.
Other jurisdictions in the region have already reopened indoor dining, with limited capacity.
The ban on indoor activities at museums and libraries will also lift, but some museums may not reopen immediately.
The ban will be in effect from Dec. 23 to Jan. 15.
The rollback, which comes amid spiking COVID numbers, must be approved by the county council to take effect.
