Jack’s Boathouse, which serviced canoers, kayakers, and other Potomac River navigators for 68 years, is officially a thing of the past.
The effort to keep Jack’s Boathouse open on the waterfront site where it has sat since 1945 suffered a major defeat last week when a judge tossed out a lawsuit aimed at stopping the boathouse’s eviction.
The National Park Service announced today that a Massachusetts-based company will take over the Georgetown waterfont site currently operated by Jack’s Boathouse.
