United is just weeks away from moving into Audi Field, its gleaming new home on the Anacostia.

Mayor Vince Gray, other city officials, and D.C. United co-owner Jason Levien unveiled today a ambitious $300 million plan that, if executed successfully, would result in the soccer franchise having a new, 20,000-seat stadium at Buzzard Point in Southwest D.C.

The shake-ups at RFK Stadium continued on Friday, with several of United’s longest-tenured employees getting the axe.

D.C. United took a massive step toward finding a permanent home in D.C. Tuesday afternoon, when it formally unveiled two new investors in the club.
