JetBlue this week announced that its new flights out of National Airport, which are expected to begin in November, will service just three cities: Boston, Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. It’s good news for those of you who travel to Boston or Florida frequently, but to be honest, we had kinda been hoping for more. In a press release, the airline offered a sneak peek at its flight schedule out of DCA, which includes seven…

College News Roundup

How are your brackets doing this morning, Washington? More of course will be coming later from our crack team of sportsologists. Voting Rights That Much Closer: DCist already reported on…

Elsewhere in the Ist-a-verse
Austinist gets arty with an interactive guide to SXSW, loved some local art galleries and a new art exhibit and lamented the possible loss of “Friday Night Lights” production to New Mexico. Bostonist was happy they finally found an Anna Nicole Smith connection to their fair city and that an Apple Store was opening up. They were less happy that new rules have been established limiting underage shows and that their Governor is spending…

Morning Roundup: Two Happy Thoughts Edition
Well, being that it’s Friday, make that three happy thoughts. But given that today marks the start of the World Cup and the last day that we’ll hopefully ever have Tom DeLay in Washington, it’s looking to be a great day. Host country Germany kicks off the tournament against Costa Rica — this DCist’s favored team — today at noon, at which time DeLay will be packing boxes in his Capitol Hill office and trying…
