Opponents of a plan to close 15 D.C. public schools said yesterday that the move would disproportionately affect minority and low-income students, and said they would file a lawsuit to stop it.

Opponents of D.C. Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson’s plan to shutter 15 public schools say that they will sue to stop her, claiming that the closures disproportionately target minority students.

Supporters of Mayor Vince Gray rallied today, asking that the investigation against him be allowed to run its course before he should have to make any decision on whether or not to resign.
