At a presentation this morning, Mayor Vince Gray and Councilmember Tommy Wells (D-Ward 6) awarded grants to four H Street NE businesses they hope will expand daytime retail along the bustling nightlife strip.

Click Click: Deja Gaga All Over Again
If it feels like only a few months since we posted images of Lady Gaga fans strutting their stuff outside a sold-out Verizon Center, well that’s because it is. The weather may have been nastier last night than it was last September, but that didn’t stop the Gaga faithful from dedicating themselves, once again, to duplicating their inscrutable heroine’s fashion sense. Some hid themselves under blankets or overcoats as they tried to stay warm standing in line — but when asked to be photographed, such comforts were quickly cast aside and it was straight into “paws up” pose.

Because D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham’s got two — and they can be all yours, if the price is right. Graham, who has been complaining about the way that the Council’s tickets to events at the Verizon Center were being doled out by Council Chairman Kwame Brown, put his Council tickets for tonight’s Gaga concert up for auction on eBay.

Fans of enigmatic performer Lady Gaga descended on Gallery Place yesterday evening to attend her sold-out show at the Verizon Center. As expected, many in attendance paid tribute to the singer’s iconic fashion sense with home-made, Gaga-esque outfits…or at least hair and make-up.

Can You Ever Get Enough of the Wale/Lady Gaga Video?
The answer is no. No you cannot. This “Chillin'” video has to be the one of the most rewarding hip-hop experiences for folks from the D.C. metro area ever – except for that Giants hat, of course. Really, Wale? Keep an eye out for Ben’s, a Georgia Ave. street sign, Cardozo High School, Anwan Glover a.k.a. Slim from The Wire, and if anyone can tell me where in D.C. that bodega is, I’ll happily buy…
