The Shakespeare Theatre Company has prevailed in a legal battle with its landlord and will get to remain in the Lansburgh Theatre and avoid an eye-popping rent hike.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company filed an injunction in D.C. Superior Court against its landlord, claiming that the nonprofit organization that runs the Lansburgh Theatre is trying to raise the rent by a staggering amount.
