‘The Books That I Wanted To See When I Was Younger’: Youth Authors Reflect On Writing About The Immigrant Experience
With authors representing eight different countries around the world, the book series was able to highlight stories for immigrant youth, by immigrant youth.
Students made handprints and painted watercolor butterflies under the direction of artists Luis Peralta Del Valle and Sarah Craft.
Capital One Bank donated $250,000 to the Columbia Heights-based nonprofit to restore their regular programming.
