Six D.C. firefighters are back at work after a brief scare earlier this week in which their entire shift fell ill. Their recovery was aided by PETA, who sent a pair of “Lettuce Ladies” bearing vegan soup.

In celebration of National Bike to Work Day, PETA is jumping on the good-health bandwagon by dispatching their “Lettuce Ladies” to Farragut Square to greet tomorrow morning’s two-wheeled commuters.
