Michelle Rhee Lands On Time 100
Time’s list of “the most influential people in the world” — which we’re betting is the only list to feature Aung San Suu Kyi, “muckraker” Julian Assange and the guy who designed Angry Birds in equal standing — was released today, and former D.C. Public Schools chancellor Michelle Rhee (who, of course, once graced the magazine’s cover sporting a broom) made the cut.

D.C., are you ready to be received? Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that this evening marks the first of two opening receptions for the fifth annual DCist Exposed Photography Show. While advance tickets for tonight’s event are sold out (and only a handful remain for Wednesday), there will be a limited number of $15 door tickets available each night, based around Long View Gallery‘s maximum occupancy. (Please note that those with advance tickets will have priority admission.) A huge tip of the hat is due to the show’s sponsors — Yuengling, Ten Miles Square and The Pink Line Project.

Certainly, GQ Can Do Better Than This
The problem with tongue-in-cheek humor? It pushes your said muscular hydrostat so far off to the side that your ability to spit fire is somewhat limited. To wit: GQ‘s “Welcome to Congress!” feature, which purports to serve as “the Freshman Orientation [new Congressmembers] need to make the most of your time here saying no to the status quo!” — and specifically, the feature’s map to places of note that new Congressmembers should be aware of.
