Supporters of Maryland’s same-sex marriage law are sending thousands of volunteers into the field today to urge voters to approving a ballot measure upholding the law.

One of the most closely watched items on Maryland ballots tomorrow will be Question 6, which, if passed, will uphold a law passed earlier this year granting marriage rights to same-sex couples.

The Gallaudet University official put on leave for signing a petition to put same-sex marriage on the ballot in Maryland is now cited in an ad produced by a group fighting against marriage equality.

Mayor Vince Gray and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will be the special guests at an October 2 Logan Circle fundraiser for Marylanders for Marriage Equality, the group fighting for same-sex marriage to be approved in November.
