And Now, a Bit of Humor Amid Federal Indictments
Amid depressing news of two federal indictments of campaign aides to Mayor Vince Gray this week, at least one person has a sense of humor, albeit a dark one.
The Capital City Diner has been sold to the South Carolina-based company that is developing the Capital City Market, and will be part of a new dining and retail district, the Post reports.

Capital City Diner on the Move, But to Where?
The lot at 1050 Bladensburg Road NE sits empty today. Early Tuesday morning, the inevitable happened when the now-shuttered Capital City Diner was loaded onto a flatbed and transported to an undisclosed location.
The latest rumors about the Capital City Diner moving to Columbia Heights and serving Kosher deli and Asian fusion cuisine are still pure conjecture, the restaurant’s founder says.

Capital City Diner, Resurrected?
The Capital City Diner may have found a new owner interested in keeping the popular eatery local.
A story that broke while you all were preparing for cookouts or catching up on some shuteye has taken a turn for the interesting. To recap: on Monday, Trinidad/H Street/Capitol Hill blog Frozen Tropics was the first to publish images from the security cameras outside the Capital City Diner which depicted Ward 5 Council candidate Kathy Henderson taking down Harry Thomas, Jr. and Kwame Brown campaign signs and replacing them with Adrian Fenty ones. The images, one of which can be seen at right, were supplied by Diner owner Matt Ashburn.
