Shortly before a Washington Poll was released that showed Bowser ahead of Gray, DCist spent 30 minutes at her Georgia Avenue NW headquarters.

“This is unfair and it is an insult to D.C. voters who are being treated as though they need the hand of a corporate media operation to steer them to poll-approved candidates,” Shallal said in a statement.

Bowser is in the lead with 30 percent, while Gray was second with 27 percent.

Mayor Gray will participate in tonight’s candidate forum along with Vincent Orange, Tommy Wells, Reta Lewis, and Andy Shallal. There will also be forums for Ward 1, Ward 6, and At-Large candidates.
