SUV Drives Off of Memorial Bridge
An SUV careened off of the Memorial Bridge into the Potomac River last night.
Work on the Memorial Bridge and New Hampshire Avenue between Washington Circle and Dupont Circle kicked off this week.
Four people were arrested this morning after hanging a “Tibet Will Be Free” banner off of the Memorial Bridge.

D.C. Streets Closed for Marathon
UPDATE: DDOT has also postponed the previously scheduled closures of the inbound lanes on the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge this weekend to accommodate the marathon. DDOT has rescheduled the bridge work for next weekend, weather permitting. Nearly 5,000 runners will take to District roads tomorrow to compete in the Wirefly National Marathon.
