Releasing their music independently, Metric has done the unthinkable in the music industry: lasting more than fifteen years.

The Canadian new wave band Metric cycles perpetually between intimacy and distance, and it did so often during a 105-minute-long set at the Music Center on Strathmore on Friday.

Last night, indie rock darlings Metric performed at the 9:30 Club to a sold out crowd. Metric are no strangers to the venue and like clockwork every year, seem to amaze their D.C. fans.
