“Enjoy this new version of us,” chef Kevin Tien says of Moon Rabbit 2.0, which will take diners on a culinary tour of Vietnam. Many of the former restaurant’s staffers are making the move to the new location.

Hotel workers have been picketing outside the waterfront hotel since Moon Rabbit closed in late May. The union says the boycott of the hotel they called for is now over.

Tien hinted that Moon Rabbit, the modern Vietnamese restaurant he created at the Wharf, may reopen elsewhere.

If the union drive at the Wharf hotel is successful, workers at the acclaimed Vietnamese spot from Chef Kevin Tien would achieve a rarity in organizing a fine dining restaurant.

The night market is hosted by Chef Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit and will feature more than a dozen other local AAPI chefs and makers.

Part of the proceeds from the dinner at Moon Rabbit will also go to the Washington Chinese Youth Club and 1882 Foundation.
