Person Struck by Train at Mt. Vernon Square
METRO Alerts reports that a person has been struck by a train at Mt. Vernon Square. Green and Yellow Line trains are currently sharing the same track between Mt. Victim of 7th Street Shooting Dies
A man who was shot near the intersection of 7th and N M Streets NW Thursday night died of his injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department said it is investigating the shooting, which happened at approximately 9:37 p.m., as a homicide. Police found the victim after a Third District officer on patrol in the vicinity of 7th and M Streets NW heard the sound of gunfire, according to a press release. The officer called for assistance…
