“I remember her every day. I never forget her. I miss her,” said the father of Nabra Hassanen. She was murdered walking to her Northern Virginia mosque in 2017.

On Monday, a grand jury indicted Darwin Martinez Torres on eight counts including capital murder, rape, and abduction.

A 24-year-old from South Carolina was arrested in a small fire that included items from a memorial held to honor Nabra Hassanen.

It’s taking place at 7:30 p.m.

Police charged 22-year-old Darwin A. Martinez Torres with the murder of Nabra Hassanen, who reportedly attended a Ramadan prayer service in Fairfax County just hours earlier.
