Nationals Clinch Division as D.C. Gets Ready for First Playoff Appearance Since 1933

Even though they lost last night’s game, the Nationals had plenty of cause to celebrate by clinching the National League East and giving D.C. its first first-place baseball team in nearly 80 years.

The talk about the Nationals being the worst team in major league history seems to have been slightly exaggerated.
