When Councilmember Tommy Wells (D-Ward 6) stated in no uncertain terms yesterday that he wouldn’t let the H Street NE streetcar travel up Third Street NE on its way to Union Station, it may have seemed like a good ol’ community fight was in the brewing.

Looking Back: Woodward & Lothrop Warehouse

The building’s tenants now include Forever 21, Madame Tussauds, and Zara and the fabulous facade has never looked better. Road Rage Incident Leads to Shooting in NE

The victim flagged down an officer in the 4900 block of South Dakota Ave. NE stating he had been shot following a road rage incident. Cap City Diner Employee Robbed, Shot
According to their Twitter feed, a Capital City Diner employee, Wade, was shot after being robbed 2 blocks away from the restaurant on Bladensburg Road NE last night. The restaurant reports on their Facebook page that the individuals that shot him came into the diner so they have a video of them. The restaurant has turned the video over to MPD. They report the employee that was shot is OK….
