Labor Day Weekend Police Beat

— Police think an attempted bank heist at the Riggs bank at Wisconsin and M Street in Georgetown is connected with a sucessful one on 12th Street NE. After the Saturday robbery D.C. government officials sent a text alert to people in the Georgetown, Burleith and Hillandale neighborhoods alerting them to the 9 a.m. crime noting “NO ONE WAS INJURED” and offering a vague physical description of the suspect.
